European Agreement Supplementing The 1968 Convention On Road Traffic Of 1 May 1971

Any Party which, on 8 November 1968 at Vienna, is no longer a Party to the Convention on Signs of Signs and Signs to be Signed shall no longer be a Party to this Convention on the same day. Article 41 of the Convention describes the requirements for driving licences. 1. This Convention shall be open for signature until 30 April 1972 for States which have signed or acceded to the Convention on Road Transport, which was opened for signature at Vienna on 8 November 1968, and which are members of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe or which are authorized to participate in the Commission in a consultative capacity in accordance with paragraph 8 of the Statute of the Commission. One of the fundamental principles of the Convention was the concept that a driver always has full control and responsibility for the behaviour of a vehicle in traffic. [6] Diese Anforderung wird durch die Entwicklung von Technologien für Kollisionsvermeidungssysteme und autonomes Fahren in Frage gestellt. [Citation needed] This Agreement shall expire if, for a period of twelve consecutive months, the number of Contracting Parties is less than five or from the date of entry into force of the Convention on Road Signs and Signals opened for signature at Vienna on 8 August 1968. . .
